Review highlights
Based on 150 reviewsKafe Rumah Teluk Intan is widely praised for its generous portion sizes and delicious, flavorful dishes that offer good value for money. The cafe’s nostalgic, traditional ambiance, enhanced by unique elements like a large aquarium and kampung-inspired decor, contributes to a cozy and calming dining experience. Customers appreciate the use of fresh, real fruit in their beverages, which adds a refreshing touch to the menu. While the setting is non-air-conditioned, patrons generally find it comfortable and inviting. Service is noted as friendly and efficient, though parking availability inside the compound can be limited. Overall, the cafe is recognized as a charming spot that blends traditional vibes with satisfying food options, making it a favored destination for both locals and travelers alike.
Such a hidden gem! Had a family lunch here and WOW! The food was delicious with big portions at a really good price. Love the nostalgic vibes too. Definitely recommend this place and for sure coming back again. Keep it up guys!
We had the best lunch at Kafe Rumah in my entire trip to Teluk Intan. I really love the big portions, the plating and the food is absolutely delicious. I like the charming nostalgic vibes at Kafe Rumah. I will definitely drop by here on my next road trip from Singapore to Ipoh and Penang.
For cafe, they give big portion for each of their dish. Ambience very nice and cozy. Not air conditioned but not hot inside. Food delicious. And apa yang buat kami faze is their drinks made from real fruit! Get that passion fruit soda, it so so good. Strawberry milkshake also from real fruit, very nice tangy real strawberry taste.
The renovate the traditional house to a cafe with large aquarium inside the cafe. While waiting for the food, you can watch the variety type of fish inside the aquarium. The traditional design and vibes is so nice and you will feel calm inside the cafe. Parking inside the cafe compound is limited. Cafe is just adjacent to the main road and near to junction. The menu also quite interesting including malay food, western and etc.
Food - I gave 3 not because of the food was average but because I went there to eat the side dish only, which is the kuih. They were good. I like the kuih lapis. I ordered sparkling coffee which was also very good. Service - Pretty good service. Short waiting time. Friendly staff Atmosphere - Really like the kampung vibes that they are going with. The female staffs there are were wearing baju kedah I think, which looks nice. Overall a nice place to go if you are visiting Teluk Intan. Just please be aware of the parking, quite limited.
A Must-Stop Gem in Teluk Intan! I’ve been to Kafe Rumah Teluk Intan three times now — it’s one of my favourite pit stops every time I travel between Kedah and Selangor. The food here is simply outstanding. They serve some of the best fusion dishes I’ve had. The entire menu feels carefully curated — from flavour combinations to presentation. Everything I’ve tried so far has been spot-on: the sauces are never too thick or watery, the cheese tastes rich and premium (none of that artificial stuff you’d find from typical street vendors), and the way they blend Italian and Russian elements with classic Asian-Malay flavours is brilliant. I’ve tried their mee kari, carbonara with dendeng, and the chilli cheese pasta on different visits — and honestly, I couldn’t fault a single dish. Their selection of beverages are very refreshing — not too sweet, with the right of amount of tanginess to cut through the cream and oil from the food. Semua sedap. Highly recommended.
Great experience to calm your mind and relax. The atmosphere with aqua scape theme will be a great place if you are fish enthusiast. Apart from that they have few vintage collection such as type writer, cameras and etc. The car park space is a bit limited. I would suggest plan your timing before come here. The food is fair and pricing is good. However, you need to wait a bit if you come during peak hour.
